The total area of Riad LakLak Tradition is about 400m2. It has five bedrooms and two large suites. Each room and suite has its own bathroom and is equipped with air conditioning. The house is centrally located in the Medina (the old city of Marrakesh) between the famous ancient palaces of “Palais Bahia” and “Palais Badii.” The world-famous “Jemaa El Fna” square is only 7 minutes away from here. A taxi stand is located a few steps away at the square “Place de Ferblantier.” There you can also find many shops and very good street food. On the roof terrace of this vaction rental in Marrakesh, you can enjoy the sunshine during the day and the deliciously breezy evenings of Marrakesh. It is a place for relaxation and meditation.

All plants found on the roof terrace and in the patio of this riad rental in Marrakesh are typical of Morocco. Riad LakLak is the home of bougainvilleas, hibiscus, cactus, a pepper tree, jasmine and palm trees, citrus trees and laurels. They are part of the spirit of the house.

When relaxing on the large roof terrace of Riad LakLak Tradition vacation rental in Marrakesh, you can watch at least a dozen majestic storks nesting on the walls of the atmospheric and beautiful ruin of the Badii Palace. Storks are the harbingers of happiness and prosperity and have given Riad LakLak (Riad Stork in Arabic) its name.

This riad rental in Marrakesh was entirely renovated in 2011 with traditional Moroccan construction methods. Examples of Moroccan handicraft such as tadelakt (Moroccan wall painting technique with colors), sculpted plaster and wooden ceilings are displayed in every room. Its origin goes back to the 17th century.

All decoration items have been crafted by Moroccan artisans, some of them living next door in the Medina of Marrakesh. Please visit my blog Renovating a Riad in Marrakech where I describe the renovation of riad LakLak vacation rental Marrakesh.

Our Riads are available from 1600 on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 1000 on the day of departure. If possible, though, this will be flexible depending on your final flight arrival and departure times.

Smoking is allowed on the roof terrace.

No local visitors are allowed entry to any of the Riads during your stay. This restriction is necessary because of the Moroccan legislation.

It is expected that our guests do not make excessive noise that could disturb our neighbors. Furthermore, it is not allowed to be naked on the roof terrace. We also ask our guests not to unnecessarily look at the terraces and patios of the riads in the neighborhood. The roof terraces in Morocco were originally reserved for women.
